| A series of drawings with black felt pen that take as a point of departure the language found in different types of professional drawings: graphs, architectural drawings, maps, diagrams, forms, etc. In the midst of the informational language something else emerges, something recognisable which demands that the drawings be viewed in a different way.
The words and sentences found in the drawings also carry multiple layers of meaning: some of them obvious and tangible – while others are more ambiguous and multifaceted. Things that are difficult to measure or to characterise are allowed a place next to what is measurable and precisely defined. In this way, associations are allowed to wander, and thoughts are weaved together – as a response to a one-dimensional and unambiguous image of the truth. |
